What this site is

Clean Eats NYC is a public-data directory that displays New York City restaurant inspection records alongside cross-platform ratings. Data is sourced from publicly available datasets including the NYC DOHMH inspection dataset and the Google Maps Places API.

Use at your own risk

The information shown here is provided on an "as is" basis without any warranty, express or implied. Inspection data has a publishing lag (typically 1-2 weeks) and may not reflect a restaurant's current condition. The "Clean Score" is a heuristic computed from inspection signals — it is not the official NYC grade and is never a substitute for the official grade or your own judgment.

Always verify a restaurant's current status, hours, and inspection record directly with the establishment or the NYC Department of Health before relying on the information shown here.

Intellectual property

NYC inspection data is in the public domain. Stock photos used as cuisine placeholders come from Unsplash under their license. Restaurant photos shown in detail dialogs are sourced from Google Maps and are subject to Google's terms.

The Clean Eats NYC name, logo, and original interface design are owned by the operator of this site.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract data from this site.
• Misrepresent the information shown here, including using the Clean Score as if it were the official NYC grade.
• Use the site to harass restaurants or their staff.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Clean Eats NYC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its information. Your only remedy if you're dissatisfied is to stop using the site.

Restaurant operators

If you operate a restaurant shown on this site and believe the information is inaccurate, contact aiprojectad@gmail.com. Note that we display public DOHMH records as published and cannot remove or alter the underlying data — disputes over inspection findings should be directed to the NYC Department of Health.
